We are so fortunate to have Harbourfront Centre. It is great for kids and adults and most of its events are free. It’s the place to go on summer weekends and even during the week. Just click on its What’s On Calendar and put in your available dates: http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/whatson/today.cfm.

This summer, for fans of diverse cultures, you can experience what it’s like to be in Barbados, Mexico, the Caribbean, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Pictured here are the wonderful annual African dance and drum lessons from previous Habari Africa Festivals. This year the Ashkenaz Festival is on again. It’s every two years.  The Hot and Spicy Food Festival and other events will give you a chance to sample exotic foods. Mark your calendar now.

If you are coming from out of town and want to stay within walking distance of Harbourfront Centre, think about the Westin Harbour Castle and the Radisson Admiral Hotel also on the waterfront. Walkable too and on or very close to our air-conditioned, underground PATH  are Le Germain Hotel Maple Leaf Square, Delta Toronto, and InterContinental Toronto Centre,  Harbourfront Centre is on the street car line from Union Station where you can get the subway to other parts of the city and cheaper accommodations.
