Non-Resistant Christians in the War of 1812
Most Quakers resisted any acts of compliance with
the military effort during the War of 1812, but many
Mennonites and Tunkers (Brethren in Christ) were
active in ways that sometimes drew them close to
the war and, in some cases, into battle. Jonathan
Seiling will give an overview of the location and
activities of some of these non-resistant Christians.
Admission $5. Those interested are asked to preregister
at 905-884-9288, ext.320.
