Toronto has many churches with Christmas bazaars. These are great traditions with a lot of handicrafts, Christmas treats and traditional bake goods for sale. Weekends in November. One of our favourites is the Ukrainian St Demetrius Christmas Bazaar at 135 La Rose Avenue (Nov. 28 and 29). For our 2013 blog on that one: https://www.torontomulticulturalcalendar.com/2013/11/29/435-christmas-bazaars-ukraine-japan-philippines-2013/.
Bazaars are usually advertised on the exterior bulletin boards of churches and in neighbourhood newspapers. If you can’t find one this weekend, there’s the Annual Church Bazaar at St. Pius Parish, 2305 Bloor St. West near Jane. 10-2pm. Another is at the St. Olave’s Anglican Church, 360 Windermere Ave. near Bloor. Let us know if you find some interesting ones in your neighbourhood. Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
