 New Beginning: Young Canadians Peace Dialogue on China and Tibet initiative. Speaker: Dr. Reza Hasmath of the University of Alberta, an authority on the management of ethnic diversity in China. Dr. Hasmath will discuss his extensive field research with the Uyghur and Tibetan populations in Western China. With moderator, Mosaic’s Executive Director John Monahan, Dr. Hasmath will also discuss how Canadian approaches to these issues compare with those taken by the Chinese. Dr. Hasmath is the author of A Comparative Study of Minority Development in China and Canada.
