Peaceful march to encourage Canadian government and public support to resolve the crisis in Tibet, and also to observe World Human Rights Day and Nobel Peace Prize Day. From February 2009 to early December, 2012, 92 people have self-immolated in Tibet in opposition to Chinese rule. Tibetans and supporters will march with more than 80 coffins from Speaker’s Corner in Nathan Phillips Square, east on Queen to Yonge St., north to Bloor and west to St. George St. The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China is at 240 St. George. http://www.savetibet.org/resource-center/maps-data-fact-sheets/self-immolation-fact-sheet
