Year of the Water Snake. This is a beautiful temple. Last year, this temple did not observe this festival because of the political situation in Tibet. This year, there will be puja or prayers starting about 8am and about an hour later, the sharing of the first food of the day. This meal will include sweet rice and butter tea. The temple will be open during the day for prayers, donations, and paying respects. For the temple’s program, see: http://www.riwoche.com/calendar/cal-2013-Feb.pdf.
