Many neighbourhoods in Toronto have a pumpkin parade the day after Halloween. If you can’t find one, try this one in the west end. Sorauren Avenue and Wabash Avenue, south of Dundas St. West.
Used Jack O-lantern pumpkins are placed along the edge of the path around Sorauren Park with a candle inside. After dark, 2000 lighted pumpkins in a row is quite a sight. Many will be hand-carved in a variety of themes – cats, witches, politicians, etc. City of Toronto Solid Waste and Parks, Forestry and Recreation will pick up the pumpkins for compost the following day. http://soraurenpark.wordpress.com/park-features/pumpkin-parade/
