We highly recommend the Carnival Parade for its amazing costumes, steelpan music, fun, and the opportunity to meet friendly spectators. Many will be dancing to the music. There will be over a million Torontonians and out-of-town visitors so arrive early if you want a good spot. Bring a chair if you can’t stand for a long time. The parade assembles at Exhibition Place but paid tickets are required until it moves from there along its 3.5 kilometer route on Lakeshore Boulevard.
If you want to see the whole parade at its best and shortest (near the Judges’ stand), and since it could take eight hours, we do suggest you pay $15 for a seat in the bleachers inside Exhibition Place. The parade moves very slowly.
