72. Chinese Brush Painting

Do you know that black ink has six hues?  The Toronto Canada-China Friendship Association, TCCFA will hold a free event on Chinese Brush Painting Appreciation…an excellent primer for art-lovers.

The program will include a live demonstration about the genre and two schools of painting styles: Kung-Bi (elaborate stroke) and Hsieh-I (sublimated stroke). It will describe compositions, techniques, and inscriptions. There will be time for questions.

It will be on Sunday,  February 27. 2-3pm, but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the gallery’s collections. Kao Ying Gallery, 2190 McNicoll Ave., Unit 123-125, Scarborough. Free parking.
