I just discovered a New Year’s eve party for little tots who can’t stay up until midnight to count out the old year and welcome in the new. The celebration is a skating party at Rennie Park rink, 20-28 Morningside Avenue in Swansea. It starts at 6pm.  It’s early countdown at 9pm is good for the little ones. So is the free hot chocolate. Bring noise makers and roasting sticks for marshmallows. Music is provided by D.J. Ann. Bonfire. It’s at the south end of Runnymede Road, south of Bloor and north of The Queensway, about half a kilometer from the Runnymede subway.

Other rinks closer to your home might have similar celebrations.
