445. Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?

 I liked this article by Muslim imam Sikander Hashmi published in Kingston Ontario’s thewhig.com .

 “…just because someone doesn’t want to include Christmas in their greetings doesn’t necessarily mean that they mean disrespect. Likewise, if someone offers Christmas greetings to those who don’t celebrate the holiday, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re trying to impose their beliefs on others…”

  1. Happy holidays! I share the author’s perspective entirely. Live and let live, is what I understand him to say. And I feel sorry for anyone who chooses to get offended when someone greets them from the heart, whatever the words used.
