Toronto’s rally and parade with at least a thousand men, women and children showed very clearly how multicultural our city is. While the main issues were a $14 minimum wage now, affordable child care, and injustices against women, placards pointed also to other problems like: political prisoners in Iran, honour killings in Iraq, Filipina temporary workers, and assassinated Kurd activists. A plea for justice for missing and murdered indigenous women led the parade.

We let the signs and faces speak for themselves:

  1. Super photos, Ruth. I can feel the solidarity among (and for)these multicultural women all the way over here (in Moldova).
