Ruth writes: Did you know that world-famous Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa was music director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra from 1965 to 1969? From here he went on to be music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and principal conductor of the Vienna State Opera. He has worked with other prestigious, internationally acclaimed orchestras as well.
Photos taken during his time in Toronto are currently on exhibit here until July 31, 2014. They are at the Japan Foundation, 131 Bloor Street West, Suite 213. Tel. 416-966-1600.

Yes. Perhaps one day the Toronto Symphony will publish a retrospective on Mr. Ozawa’s years as Music Director. Let’s hope he will return to Toronto to conduct a concert!
