Ruth writes: Our thanks to the Intercultural Dialogue Institute for sending us information about their Ramadan Friendship Dinners. During Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting, it is customary to invite friends to share a fast-breaking meal after sunset. This is a great opportunity for outsiders to learn about and meet people from other cultures. The meal is without charge and obligation. The dinners are in various parts of Toronto in churches and cultural centres. They have different speakers and subjects. Our infamous traffic should not be a problem as there is probably a dinner venue near your home. For more information about times, addresses and registering, click on: http://www.ramadandinners.ca/.
