Ruth writes: Oral storytelling is a folk art common to many of our cultures. It is not just for children. It’s for people wanting to learn about history and heritage. It is inter-active. It makes one’s brain work. It is social. It is wonderful.
StoryTelling Toronto hosts a free event at the Artscape Wychwood Barns Farmers’ Market. It writes: The StoryTent is a magical place to enjoy the art of storytelling.
Hosted by a professional teller, the StoryTent officially takes place between 11 and 1pm, though it often goes longer. Look for the red canopy over the door to the Storytelling Toronto office. Come in, sit down, listen and feel free to add your own story. All ages: Family audiences welcome – FREE. http://www.storytellingtoronto.org/
The 2015-16 StoryTent will be happening:
