If the weather is good, this is the family fun place to be. A parade with giant puppets, fire dancers, and families carrying lanterns through Kensington Market. At the end is a big bonfire with performances. Anyone can join to celebrate the longest night of the year and the beginning of longer days. It sounds pagan. it’s a community builder and it’s free. The fun starts with making your own lanterns with other paraders on December 13 (with a $10 donation for supplies). For details, see: http://redpepperspectacle.weebly.com/.
