This Japanese-Canadian baseball team was established in 1914 and rose to prominence in the 1920s and 1930s. Despite success and popularity, the Asahi faced discrimination and during WWII, internment due to their Japanese heritage. This drama by award-winning director Yuya Ishii (The Great Passage) is based on their true story.
