On Saturday, April 28, Harbourfront Centre is co-producing a Bulgarian Festival with the Bulgarian Arts Festival. The free events are:
Children/Family Programming in the Marilyn Brewer Community Space located inside the York Quay Centre at 235 Queens Quay West.
2pm-2:30pm: Traditional Bulgarian Crafts – Make and take for children
2:30 – 3:10pm: Presentation of Children’s Group Bulgarche and folk dances with Dimitrovche
3:10pm-3:45pm: Songs from Bulgaria and Beyond with Irene Markoff and members of York University’s Balkan Music ensemble
3:45pm-4:30pm: Traditional Bulgarian Crafts – make and take for children (everyone can do it)
Events in the Brigantine Room:
4:30-5pm Photography slide show of Bulgaria
5pm-5:15pm Artist Talk with Theodosii Spassov and Boyka Velkova
5:20-7:10pm: Bulgarian film The Island, Director Kamen Kalev
