306. Mexican Films at TIFF

Thanks to the Consulate General of Mexico, here are the dates of upcoming Mexican films at The Toronto International Film Festival:

“Post Tenebras Lux”, by Carlos Reygadas, who won the Best Director award at the last Cannes Festival and at the Lima International Film Festival. Wavelengths Program. Screening: September 16.

“Come Out and Play” by Belarusian director Makinov, produced by Canana (Gael García and Diego Luna). “Come Out and Play” is a remake of a Spanish film about a village inhabited solely by children. The film was shot in Quintana Roo and stars Daniel Giménez Cacho. International premiere. Midnight Madness Program. Screening: September 15.

“Here Comes the Devil” a Mexico-United States co-production, by the Spanish director Adrián García. The film is about a family on vacation in Tijuana whose two children temporarily go missing only to act strangely after they have been found. Vanguard Program. Screening: September 16.
