“Matsuri” is a word from Japanese meaning “Festival”. Each summer one such festivals is held in every part of Japan bringing the local people together and in effect exploring the community and its groups. Normally, these events are held in parks and conducted in leisure with traditions common to most Matsuri but also with traditions specific to each.
